Al started his career as a Life Underwriter with London Life in 1981. He assumed management responsibilities in Essex County from 1987 until 2014 with London Life, Prudential Insurance Company of America, and Freedom 55 Financial. In 2014 he formed Broadbent Financial serving the individual and group business needs of our community.
He is known to be a student of the industry completing the following designations:
CFP Certified Financial Planner
CLU Chartered Life Underwriter
CHFC Chartered Financial Consultant
CHS Certified Health Specialist
EPC Elder Planning Counselor
He has been a member of Advocis since 1981 and past president of the local Winsor Chapter.
He is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table, The Premier Association of Financial Professionals.
He is a member of the Registered Deposit Brokers Association.
In 2023 Canada Life closed their Freedom 55 Financial division and he went looking for suitable partners to support his goals of providing holistic solutions for his current and future clients. Having worked with the Rock Harbour team during his management and advisor career, it was a natural fit to continue our trusted relationship.
Al and his wife Dee enjoy golfing, traveling the world, and most of all spending time with their kids and four grandsons.
